Losers!

I have been looking around at prices and such for a wedding band for Zack lately. I have been concerned because I have heard from NUMEROUS people that their husbands lost their wedding ring within the first year of their marriage- or nearly anyway. Everyone has told me to not spend a lot of money on it because boys lose them anyway. So, I'm just wondering- are any of your husbands 'losers' of their wedding rings?! Stories please!! :)

Go tungsten for sure. I grind my ring against concrete just for kicks. No scratches here. Let Zach join the tungsten gang.

As for losing rings i'm sure its just a matter of time for me.

chuck's had his for almost four years and hasn't lost it once. he does take it off at night because he just can't get that used to a ring. but no problems here.

oh, and his is titanium. we both love it.

Rog hasn't lost his and we've been married a year and a half on Monday. But Jason (Diana's husband) lost his on their honeymoon! She bought him another one though. Rog's is Titanium. It's so light compared to mine! Personally I think Tungsten is too shiny, but that's just me. I took Rog to a jewelry store to look at some. He told me a few he liked and then I picked from those. I figured he has to wear it...

Chad loses it and then finds it... but he's not a real big fan of wearing it. He'll wear to school and if he's out with me but he can't wear it to work... so I'm glad I didn't spend much on it. It's titaninum and I got it at the Shane Co for a really good price! However, if I could do it over I would probably get a Tungsten cause they don't scratch and all... but yeah I don't think it really matters. At least it didn't to mine cause he really didn't one in the first place :)

Drew hasn't lost it yet, thank goodness - but he takes it off when he works out or plays ball. Sometimes he forgets to put it back on - some kid in his econ class was like "dude, did you forget your ring?" Yeah, drew didn't even notice! His is Titanium though - it's way light and he loves it!

Lily walked in while I was reading your blog, and she said "mom, it's Zack and Emily. Where are Zack and Emily? I want to play" So consider your self invited to come play with Lily.

Brad thought he'd never get used to a ring and warned me he would never sleep with it on.... Now he forgets he has it. He does take it off to spin it when he's bored..... Hopefully that doesn't result in him losing it. His ring is a new material that is called BCC Black Ceramic Carbonate. It is WAY lighter than tungsten but it is supposed to be as strong. He works moving vending machines so he's not real nice to it but has never scratched. It is black so it is unique. They are fairly inexpensive as well..... You can see it here...... http://www.facebook.com/photos.php?id=122800691#/photo.php?pid=30530940&id=122800691

Yeah, Justin's is gone and I don't know if I'll replace it. I would possibly consider silver though...cheap, right?

Oh yeah...Lance lost his two months after we got married. I'm not sure if "lost" is the right word. We know exactly where it is...somewhere in the river at lava hot springs. I bought him a cheap replacement off the internet (tungsten both times, it's the best) and actually, that ring in your picture looks just like the ring I got to replace Lance's original. I don't recommend that one...it smudges really bad for some reason. I have been thinking about re-buying Lance's original but I just can't justify $340 when his cheap replacement fulfills the exact same purpose...maybe someday when we're rich..ha ha!

Garrett came close to losing his at our reception ha. He always insisted we take them off to wash our hands and I disagreed but after his brother Caleb came running to our car as we were driving away for the honeymoon with his ring, I told him I'd rather our rings get dirty than lost! He hasn't come close to losing it since then that I know of! Definitely Tungsten! I wouldnt get a shiny Tungsten, you can get other looks that aren't shiny.. Garrett picked his out so he loves it! I picked my ring out too though, thats just how we roll! (with each others help :) )

Oh and if you get Tungsten, they don't have to take it off for work or anything so I think that helps with the losing factor. But don't stress too much if he loses it, guys rings are never that expensive. Garretts is Tungsten and it was like $200 or something from Shane Co. so not a huge deal as long as they don't lose it every year...
